Ceredigion abounds in Welsh historical and cultural sites.

Visit the Hafod estate with its spectacular woodland trails and waterfalls, Devil’s Bridge for its gorge walk or take the Rheidol Valley railway down to Aberystwyth.

Strata Florida Abbey, 5 miles from Tregaron, was the second largest Cistercian Abbey in the UK and its historic significance is only now being highlighted by recent archaeological digs.

Aberystwyth, 18 miles from Tregaron (a bus service runs between them) is home to the National Library of Wales, one of the great libraries of the world. The Ceredigion museum, housed in a beautifully preserved Edwardian theatre, is situated in the heart of Aberystwyth, near the seafront. It is home to both permanent and temporary displays that explore Ceredigion’s heritage, culture and art.
