Walking

Y Talbot is an excellent base for discovering the wild delights of the Cambrian Mountains as well as the Ceredigion Coastal Path and the pastoral delights of the Teifi and Aeron valleys.

Positioned on the western flank of the Cambrian Mountains range, Tregaron offers a variety of routes on its doorstep - ranging from hidden mountain valleys and isolated summits to the more gentle terrain of the Teifi Valley and the stunning Ceredigion Coastal Path.

If you want to combine comfort at Y Talbot with a true getaway experience, try a night at one of the remote Elenydd Hostels of Dolgoch and Ty’n Cornel.

Mick and Nia, Y Talbot's owners, are experienced and enthusiastic walkers and are very happy to give advice on suitable routes.

To combine great walking with fascinating culture and history, visit the monastic lands of Strata Florida or the waterfalls of the Hafod Estate.

A boot room and drying room are available on site.  Maps and packed lunches may also be ordered.
