Originally a drovers inn, our characterful pub has been trading as a hostelry for at least 250 years.
If the walls could talk they would have many a tale to tell!
There is charm and character in abundance in the ancient beams, slate flagged floors and inglenook fireplaces. On a winter’s day, it’s the perfect place to settle down in front of the log fire for a pint of Welsh cask ale and an excellent meal. On a hot summer’s day it’s a great place to cool off or to enjoy our new terrace and beer garden. We welcome children, dogs and muddy boots!
We strongly believe that good beer is at the heart of a good pub and we offer an excellent range of cask ales and ciders from Wales and the border. Ask one of our bar staff for a sample!
